A new step toward consolidating institutional work and strengthening the stability and continuity of student activities

As a new step toward consolidating institutional work and strengthening the stability and continuity of student activities, the General Assembly of the Sudanese Students Association in Istanbul convened and approved the Association’s new bylaws—the 2026 edition—to serve as the supreme organizational reference for all of the Association’s bodies and activities during the upcoming period. The most notable provisions of the new bylaws include: 1- Clearly Defining the Election Schedule For the first time, the timeframe for elections has been explicitly defined, with annual elections to be held between: 15 October and 15 November of each year. This period was selected because it coincides with the beginning of the academic year, when most students have returned to Istanbul and settled at their places of study. This allows for the broadest possible participation and attendance in the electoral process, while ensuring a smoother transfer of responsibility and greater stability in institutional work. 2- Restructuring the Secretariats and Expanding Executive Work The structure of the Executive Office has been reorganized and responsibilities have been separated more clearly. It now includes 9 specialized secretariats, enhancing specialization, improving performance efficiency, and giving each area of student activities clear space for planning, implementation, and follow-up.
