Harvest | Yesterday’s Seedlings, Today’s Harvest – Sudanese Students Association in Istanbul
On an exceptional evening, the Sudanese Students Association in Istanbul celebrated its graduates at the “Harvest 2026” ceremony, attended by official and community figures led by His Excellency Ambassador Osama Mahgoub, Consul General of the Republic of Sudan in Istanbul, alongside His Excellency Eng. Omar Ali Saleh, Minister of Investment of the Northern State; Eng. Nizar Ata, President of the Sudanese Community in Istanbul; Qatada Kamal, President of the General Union of Sudanese Students in Türkiye; and a number of prominent figures and leaders. The ceremony honored 110 male and female graduates from universities and secondary school certificate students, celebrating years of hard work and dedication. The Association also launched the “Be a Support” initiative to assist Sudanese students facing financial hardship. A charity auction was held, raising USD 25,000 in a shining example of solidarity among members of the Sudanese community. The evening also featured draws for two travel tickets to Sudan, provided by Badr Airlines, amid an atmosphere of joy and celebration. The Association extends its sincere thanks to all sponsors, supporters, partners, and volunteers who contributed to the success of this event, as well as to everyone who helped make this special evening possible. The ceremony concluded with an oath of allegiance to the homeland, led by Dr. Mohamed Al-Mustafa Al-Amin, followed by a musical celebration honoring the graduates—an ending that embodied the meanings of belonging and pride. “Harvest” was not merely a graduation ceremony; it was a message affirming that knowledge builds the future, solidarity builds society, and the people of Sudan always come together in pursuit of success and service. Congratulations to all the graduates. We ask God to grant them continued success and prosperity.
